"The Power of Prophetic Worship" - Apostle David Swan

“Heaven is releasing a new sound. In the new sounds, there are healings, deliverance and freedom. Prophetic worshippers will hear the sounds and respond to the call. Their songs will strike fear in the enemies camp, their worship will open the realm of the Prophetic_worship_3 spirit.”

“One of the crucial keys to enlarging the spiritual boundaries, and accomplishing the end-time purposes of God is to harness and release the intense and powerful corporate anointing”

“Since worshipping warriors are involved in much spiritual warfare, it is imperative for them to put on the spiritual armor – holiness, truth, righteousness, anointing, the presence and glory of God. For, the power of their worship is largely determined by their purity, anointing and strength of their spirit.”

“Worshipping warriors usher in the presence and glory of God through their intercession and worship. In the process of ushering the presence and glory of God into the assembly, they consequently usher the presence and glory of God into their own lives. When these worshipping warriors constantly and consistently do this, they will in turn become carriers of the presence and glory” Tabernacle of David Church

Soul Junk Intro

I have a good friend, Glen Galloway who heads an amazing band called Souljunk_1"Soul Junk", and this is the intro for their CD "1953". It is brilliant and I don't think I have ever heard a better way expressing one's faith to the secular world than this, see what you think.

The great failure of all "religion" is that it cannot get to your insides. It's like a mold to fit yourself into, it changes your shape, but does nothing for your spirit. SoSouljunk1  the world looks on and rejects it as plastic and external - a Band-Aid for the open soul. Consider the possibility that what you've rejected is not God; it's man's attempts to play God. Please allow us to share with you the one we call our God. We do this with a deep respect for your own spiritual understanding and honesty.

We ask that our Jesus would demonstrate the inner truth of these words - that God is a spirit and we worship Him in spirit and truth. Let us provide a path of reconciliation for you. Especially be willing to sense our God's presence, since this is the possibility and reality that shatters external religion and actually touches the spirit. We speak peace to those far and near in the name of Jesus.

Welcome to the pyrotechnics of spirit, word and pictures pointing to and worshiping the one who inspires, who breathes life, who is life. We speak into a decade that champions a nameless spirituality; that acknowledges the transcendent, the infinite, and the eternal - but has chosen not naming it as the fashion. We play with openness in mind - naming the one we worship but not judging those with other views.

We invite the Holy Spirit of our God to fall upon you as you read, and by doing so to announce the existence of a new peace, a new power, a new intimacy - all in the name of the one who calls Himself the bridegroom, who comes changing water to wine, as much lover as king. So we invite you to look on, join in, experience our worship, drink the new wine with us, soak up whatever our God chooses to reveal of Himself tonight.

Then take it apart, examine it, criticize it - and wonder inside whether this could be true - that our God is more about romance than religion, that He exists and is choosing to live inside people who open themselves to Him, believe what they know of him and speak of His beautiful name Jesus.

The Music of Blush

BlushOn the weekend, I was trying to put up a spontaneous song that we did at our Music Gathering in 1996 on  Good Friday, that is an amazing depiction of the crucifixion, but because of it's length my music host wouldn't let me upload it, which was a real drag.

However, I found out something very interesting, that in trying to find a way to upload the song, I came across the statistics page for my site and I discovered that instead of maybe 1 or 2 people who may have looked at it, that there were a lot more. In fact in the past 4 1/2 months since I put the "Blush" songs up, that there have been 303 hits, 39 plays and 20 downloads and that really blew me away. I know it's not huge numbers, but it is way more than I ever expected. So if you were part of checking the band out from my sidebar, thank you so much, because it really blessed me.

"Blush" started out as the worship band for our alternative church back in the early 90's and is the shortened from of the church's name, "The Blushing Bride". It went on to become a band as well and the band memebers are (from left to right) Gary Youdan, Jesse Macpherson, Michael Gouge, Johnathon Broetherton and yours truly.

Have you ever heard of a Hasidic Jewish, reggae, hip hopping rapper

Matisyahu_1 Well Matisyahu is one and he is one of the hottest things on MTV and on radio stations right now. You just have to see him to believe it, he even goes stage diving in all his garb, half way through the song. Click "King Without A Crown' or here to see his video (make sure you click on the full screen mode). Also have a look at his lyrics for the song he does, look at how powerful they are.

King Without A Crown:

You're all that I have and you're all that I need
Each and every day I pray to get to know you please
I want to be close to you, yes I'm so hungry
You're like water for my soul when it gets thirsty
Without you there's no me
You're the air that I breathe
Sometimes the world is dark and I just can't see
With these, demons surround all around to bring me down to negativity
But I believe, yes I believe, I said I believe
I'll stand on my own two feet
Won't be brought down on one knee
Fight with all of my might and get these demons to flee
Hashem's rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
Out of darkness comes light, twilight unto the heights
Crown Heights burnin' up all through till midnight
Said, thank you to my G-d, now I finally got it right
And I'll fight with all of my heart, and all a' my soul, and all a' my might

Chorus What's this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin' myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my G-d all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now so it's time we start revealing

Bridge:
Me no want no sinsemilla.
That would only bring me down
Burn away my brain no way my brain is to compound
Torah food for my brain let it rain till I drown
Thunder!
Let the blessings come down

Strip away the layers and reveal your soul
Got to give yourself up and then you become whole
You're a slave to yourself and you don't even know
You want to live the fast life but your brain moves slow
If you're trying to stay high then you're bound to stay low
You want G-d but you can't deflate your ego
If you're already there then there's nowhere to go
If you're cup's already full then its bound to overflow
If you're drowning in the water's and you can't stay afloat
Ask Hashem for mercy and he'll throw you a rope
You're looking for help from G-d you say he couldn't be found
Looking up to the sky and searchin' beneath the ground
Like a King without his Crown
Yes, you keep fallin' down
You really want to live but can't get rid of your frown
Tried to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground
Given up your pride and the you heard a sound
Out of night comes day and out of day comes light
Nullified to the One like sunlight in a ray,
Makin' room for his love and a fire gone blaze

Chorus

Reelin' him in
Where ya been
Where ya been
Where ya been for so long
It's hard to stay strong been livin' in galus (exile) for 2000 years strong
Where ya been for so long
Been livin in this exhile for too long

A Great Night of Industrial Music

As many of you know, I LOVE industrial music, particularily because it is so good to do prophetic dance warfare to, well last night of my favorite industrial bands KMFDM came to town and fortunately I found out just in time (2 days before that they were coming), so I went out to see them. They were fantastic, the Germans Kmfdm are just so good at industrial music, they had two great guitarists, an excellent drummer and a male and a female lead singer, who each had a stand full of electronic equipment. The music was powerful and outstanding and they had a great stage presence.

It was weird though, because I saw this 52 year old grandfather there, having way more fun than he should have been and then......... I realized I was looking in the mirror. HaHaHa

And I might add the aditional power that was there, made it very easy to do warfare and some major things took place. Keep your eyes on Ireland and Morocco, some interesting things should start to take place

Enter the Worship Circle

You may have already heard it, but if you haven't, may I encourage you to listen to “Enter the Worship Circle”. A good friend, Gary Lee from Portland, sent me a copy and I just love it, it is just sweet, simple worship songs and I probably listened to the whole CD 25 to 30 times on our ministry trip. It just draws your heart to God. My favourites are #5 Tender Mercy; #8 I Could Run Away and Psalm 18 Cd100portraitsandwaterdeep_entertheworsh_1 at the end of #15 Come Fall On Us. Click here for minute long samples of all the songs

Here is a description of it: It is a collection of original songs by Water deep & 100 Portraits recorded live, without overdubbing, in a big cabin by a lake in Texas. Over a three day period, this album was recorded with the players all arranged in a circle in the living room of the cabin. They wanted to be able to see each other as they played, sang and worshiped. Armed with a couple of guitars and more percussion instruments than you can name (oh, I'll try: djembe, bombo, kanjira, tabala, dumbek, dholek, tongue drum, goat toes, cookie sheet, etc.) they created an incredible atmosphere of worship. These folks came to model worship and have given us the gift of that weekend
