In 2009 we chose the Stieger Ministry’s “Slot Art Festival” in Lubiaz, Poland as the place to host the Second Global Roundtable, hoping to involve more of the Eastern European leaders.
We had over 45 delegates who came from India, Thailand, China, Brazil, Canada, US, Belarus, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, UK, France, Portugal, Greece and Macedonia. Our time together was truly amazing and accomplished all that we hoped for and even more. We actually spent alot of the time just letting God have His way and unfold His strategy which was very significant.
Here are Scott Bowers (24/7 Prayer) reflections that sum it up really well - We had an awesome time swapping stories and inspiring each other, then delving into discussion around the challenges that we had faced and were continuing to face. Encouragement to build bridges between nations, conspiring together and helping one another as well as the need to uncover and develop young apostles were common themes of conversation.
The challenge of a post-Christian Europe as well as that of the Islamic world were chewed over, there is no doubt in mind that the European challenge is the biggest that has faced and possibly ever faced the Church. We need to adapt, learn from our History and pray like never before for this beautiful continent of ours.
The drum intercession times each morning proved to be very powerful and in the picture below, Denny Hurst is representing Portugal, while Olgalvaro Jr. Bastos, the Tribal Generation leader from Brazil, who stands opposite him, are praying for reconciliation between the two nations. Brazil was formerly a colony of Portugal and there are many Brazilians living in Portugal, but the vibe between the two people groups is not such a good one. Only through the love of Jesus can the hurt be healed
Then Philemon from Greece (on the left) and Alpin from Macedonia (on the right) did drum intercession together, to break down the long standing wall between Macedonia and Greece.
Although, there were some delegates who had to miss the first part of the Roundtable and others who had to leave early, everyone was there on Thurs. night and it was the best Roundtable discussion that I have ever been apart of, it truly was a collaboration of key leaders from around the world.
On Friday morning the group Violet Burning had agreed to lead our worship time, however, because of practical issues it made more sense for us to have it outdoors on the main stage. It was
an amazing time and surprisingly, as Michael Pritzl shared some of his testimony, when he said, "I told the Lord that if he was real He needed to show Himself to me", right at that moment there was a huge thunder clap above us, which the audience responded to with clapping and cheers. He continued on with his testimony and again twice more, when he said, "God show yourself to me" there two more thunder claps. A time not to be forgotten.
Then on Friday night we had the use of the Grand Ballroom and it was truly a celebration of all that
God was doing among us and in the areas we
had come from. The evening included pizza, costumes, great conversation and even the Hokey, pokey. (:~))
Also, whereas at the first Roundtable we had many of the pioneers of Underground emerging ministry, at this Roundtable we had many of the apostolic fathers and one of the coolest aspects
of this Roundtable was how many young apostles were there as well. So on the final night we gathered all of the young apostles together and put them in the middle and the fathers spent time praying over them and releasing them into their apostolic callings in each of their countries.
Also, some of our leaders were asked to speak in the normal Slot seminars and Andrew Jones even led a panel discussion of the Emerging church and invited Wolfgang Fernandez, Becky Garrison and Olgalvaro Bastos Jr. as part of the panel.
There was also alot of just hanging out, eating together and getting know each other. In this picture there are leaders from Portugal, Greece, USA, Germany, Brazil and India.
We all had a great time and believe that God was with us in this Roundtable
